The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) is the Australian technology industry's peak body, with member companies both small and large across the information sector. With the idea of offering their members low-cost access to the services of a range of experts across various industries, the AIIA approached GeekIT to develop an online application to provide a platform through which experts and members could engage. The result is AIIA.biz, an online knowledge bank and managed portal that guides users step-by-step through the process of obtaining low-cost expert services – from the creation of complex legal contracts, to commercial services and insurance.
APSMA
The Asia-Pacific Professional Service Marketing Association (APSMA) is the leading association for marketing and business development professionals, with more than 1600 individual members and 270 firms taking advantage of the association’s services. When APSMA’s plans to expand their services were frustrated by an inflexible website, they turned to GeekIT for help. Using cognitive behavioural modeling and an agile development methodology, GeekIT created a new online application that has become fundamental to APSMA’s operations – delivering a platform of vastly improved features and services and boosting membership as a result.
Teach For Australia
Teach for Australia is a new and innovative organisation combating educational disadvantage through a program that places Australia’s brightest university graduates as teachers in disadvantaged schools. When Teach for Australia needed to create an online system for the collection of graduate applications, they turned to GeekIT for help. The result is teachforaustralia.org: a customised, CMS driven platform with an integrated application system which verifies graduates’ responses as it guides them through a series of questionnaires – improving the efficiency of the Teach for Australia’s selection processes while providing a flexible platform for the promotion of the organisation and its aims.
What's On Sale
What’s On Sale brings retailers and consumers together. Over 300 Australian retailers – including Myer, Retravision and David Jones – list sales, promotions and discounts through the site. When Pat Walsh, whatsonsale’s director, wanted to overhaul whatsonsale following a flawed initial implementation, he approached GeekIT Group for help.
